My Etsy Shop- Planner Goodness

So right after I was introduced to this planner world I knew I was in trouble. I always had a thing for stationery, I grew up going to the Sanrio stores at the Glendale Galleria and at the Pacific Square Shopping Center in Gardena. My friends and I would trade school supplies after school and as an adult I collected pens and cute sticky notes for my desk.

So I got my planner, I had a Cameo, and paper and made my first set of dividers for my aunt, then myself. Then someone on one of the MANY planner related groups asked if someone would be willing to make a Harry Potter set. I immediately messaged her that I would like to do it, we PM'd and had the same ideas and I got to work.

After it was all done and I sent it over to her she posted pictures in some of the groups saying how much she loved them. After I had gotten some more orders through Facebook I finally decided it was time to open my shop!

Below are some photos of my most popular item- The customer Harry Potter inspired divider set.

Kikki-K : A thing of organized & crafty beauty

I found a new crafty addiction: Kikki-K.

Personal size in Lilac- past collection
Personal size in Mint- past collection

This is where it all started, with these beautiful leather planners. They come in amazing colors and patterns and once you start decorating and planning you become obsessed.

I didn't know anything about the entire world of planners; dashboards, washi tape, how the target dollar spot finds are as good as gold, and DAISO. But thanks to my Aunt  this is my new love. She showed  me her gold planner and then Pinterest posts, the blogs, Instagram posts and the next week I was online ordering my lilac beauty from Australia- the home of Kikki-K.

The products I Love & can afford

I wanted to share some of my daily beauty products that I LOVE and really do use. I don't use a ton of crazy, expensive products and all of the ones I use are available at the local market or drugstore. I have fairly sensitive skin and these are all good to my skin and scalp.

1. Batiste Dry Shampoo-
I have to wash my hair just about everyday otherwise it looks really greasy. I then decided to try a dry shampoo, I tried a brand I found at a little beauty supply shop- It was $22 a can and the can went fast. I then tried the Tresemme dry shampoo-- didn't work for me, my hair still looked greasy. I then found Batiste at a local drug store for about $8 a can-- and it worked great. It also comes in a wide selection of great scents. I have even been able to find this at my local T.J. Maxx for about $6 a can. (so keep an eye out).

2. Virgin Coconut oil-
I use this stuff on my face (it doesn't clog pores!) or if my daughter gets dry patches or rashes, I use it as a deep conditioning mask for my hair (let it sit for 12-30 minutes then wash), or even on my feet before bed with socks to keep them nice and soft. Coconut oil comes in a solid state in a jar but melts almost instantly on contact. All most every grocery stores carry it and a jar will last you about a year and a jar runs about $8-$12.

3. Clearasil-
I tend to wear foundation to work daily, otherwise I look like a zombie. So when its time to wash my face, the face washes I tried would not completely remove the days makeup and dirt. It would take scrubbing, rewashing and makeup removed it get a clean face. I then tried this one, and it works, without drying out my face. It's available at most drug stores, markets and Target for around $6.

4. Colgate Optic White-
I drink at least 2 cups of coffee a day to keep me awake after a 2:30 a.m. wake-up followed by a 5a.m.- 2pm work day. I also like an occasional glass of red wine... so my teeth aren't as white as they could be. I tried whitening strips, but didn't like the whole routine and spending MORE money. So I tried this stuff and it worked... I then made the mistake of stop using it for a few months and I could totally see the difference of the yellowing coming back. So this is my daily forever toothpaste. A tube is about $4 and totally worth it.

Swap.com- Online consignment shop

I recently tried out  Swap.com, an online valet consignment shop after trying to find a local consignment shop nearby. The problems I have found with local consignment shops is you either make an appointment or drop your items off- they pick what they would like to have in store then take the rest back home. I have also looked into selling the items myself via instagram, or ebay.. but I would NEVER end up sending out my items- all of the above would just be another errand to add to the list.

With Swap.com you pay for a bag or box with a pre-paid shipping label, or you can opt to just pay for the shipping yourself. Once the items are received they take professional photos of all your items, you login and set the prices, and they send it out!

I also love the swap option. You get offers for swaps from other users and Swap.com. I have swapped for a ton of items: shirts and dress still with tags, or like new. They have brands like Gap, Polo, Gymboree, Tea Collection, Cherokee, and more. All items I received were in great condition, and they were nicely folded and individually packaged in plastic and never disappointing. You also have the option where you can have them hold the items till you want them shipped- which I also like.

Set up is EASY-- login with facebook and set up (or login) with Paypal.

Get 30% off on shipping your items to Swap•com by clicking www.swap.com

Luna and Dolly

My name is Sarah and I am a working mother & wife, twenty-something that currently lives in the Antelope Valley. I started this blog to share ideas, events, thoughts, items, crafts and more. I have a 5 year old chatty girly-girl name Bella Luna, who loves crafts, baking, and dancing.

Most posts will probably have to do with things involving her. Things/events that I want to take her to, things we actually made it to, products we love, crafts we try, and more.
